Confidence for Caregivers: An Online Workshop to Build Resilience and Self Care

Join AC Care Alliance’s Executive Director and Co-Founder, Rev. Cynthia Carter-Perrilliat, and UC Davis Academic Partner – Training and Advisor, Dr. Jill Joseph for a special online training on the ACCA’s NEW and IMPROVED Workbook for Caregivers on August 22, 6:00 – 8:00 PM!

AC Care Alliance has long recognized the important role that caregivers play in the lives of persons with chronic, serious, and advanced illnesses. Caregivers often support their care recipient with a variety of tasks. They take on not only the burden of additional physical tasks and time commitments to support them, but also the oftentimes emotional burden of caring for someone they love and the uncertainty that comes with illness.

ACCA supports caregivers through the Advanced Illness Care Program (AICP) ™ by addressing their personal health, spiritual, social, and advance care planning needs as well as the additional caregiving needs and tasks they take on when caring for another person. Tools, such as the Workbook for Caregivers, help caregivers organize their care recipient’s needs, build their caregiving support network, and plan how to manage potentially tough conversations to advocate for support and help for the care recipient. Additional tools support the mental health of caregivers on hard days.

The Workbook for Caregivers has recently been REDESIGNED and features an approachable feel, a brand-new look with colorful illustrations, updated worksheets with examples, and easy-to-follow instructions. Offered to the public for the very first time, this online Zoom workshop will include videos with caregiving examples and interactive discussions on how to use the Workbook for Caregivers, supporting caregivers in their caregiving and personal health needs. We hope you will leave with Confidence, Resilience, and a renewed focus on Self-Care that will help make your caregiving journey easier.
